Grand Teton National Park in northwestern Wyoming spans around 310,000 acres. It is located 10 miles from Yellowstone National Park. The park has the grand Teton Range which is part of the Jackson Hole valley. It rises 7,000 feet from the Jackson Hole. It has several lakes and streams including the 15 mile Jackson lake. Though in a state of recession, a few dozen small glaciers can bee seen at the higher elevations near the highest peaks in the range. You can explore Hermitage Point Trail, Two Ocean Lake Trail, Emma Matilda Lake Trail, Grand Teton Summit, Garnet Canyon passing through Lower Saddle, Middle Teton. There are over 38 unique routes to reach Grand Teton. Campgrounds that can be accessed by cars near the area are the Colter Bay, Gros Ventre, Lizard Creek, Signal Mountain, Valle Trail, Paintbrush Canyon, Alaska Basin and Garnet Canyon Trail, and Jenny Lake.

Overnight hikes and camping is allowed in the winter in the backcountry with a permit and visitors should inquire about avalanche dangers.

Snowmobiles are only permitted in the Jackson and Jenny Lake area. Follow certain rules when using it.
