Mono County is a county located in the east central portion of California known for its interesting mountain, Mammoth Mountain, and lakes namely Mammoth Lake, June Lake, and Mono Lake – a haven for tufa arising out of the salty and alkaline lake. One of the county’s interesting spots is ‘Bodie’, the official state gold rush ghost town, which is now a California State Historic Park. Apart from the historic park, Mono County is also known for the 203 South Trails, a paved path found in Mammoth.
