Noted for its long and smooth trail lined with palm trees and stunning views of the San Diego Bay and downtown skyline, the Bayshore Bikeway Coastal Rail-Trail is perfect for biking and leisurely walks.

Also known as Silver Strand Bikeway, Bayshore Bikeway starts from Coronado Ferry Landing and the Ferry Landing Marketplace, going through the Coronado Bridge, past the Coronado Golf Course, Hotel de Coronado, Coronado Community Center, San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge, and finally to the south end of the San Diego Bay at Main Street in Chula Vista.

The Bayshore Bikeway provides the ultimate ride through Bayshore and San Diego’s most scenic places.

1) Never Get Lost

The road can be tricky at Bayshore. Moreover, there are sections without any signage at all. The bikeway takes you through Coronado Ferry Landing, Ferry Landing Marketplace, Coronado Bridge, Coronado Golf Course, Hotel de Coronado, Coronado Community Center, San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge, and finally to the south end of the San Diego Bay at Main Street in Chula Vista. It is best to be familiar with the route with Google Maps or a portable tracking device.
