Castle Rock Trail – Contra Costa County
Castle Rock Trail is enjoyed by many. Hence, heavily trafficked. It is a 9.5 kilometer loop trail that features pretty wildflowers but not many trees.
Most hikers bring their dogs on this trail but always remember that they should be kept on a leash. Altogether, this trail is moderate and can be enjoyed by beginner hikers. Just watch out for the last hill because it’s pretty steep! It’s mostly an open space so you can enjoy the wide view.
