An almost 9-mile lightly trafficked trail located nearby Lakehead in California is Squaw Valley Creek Trail. It features a river as well as a number of activity options. Dogs are welcome to use this trail. This scenic trail passes through a number of small waterfalls and is a great loop option. The Squaw Valley Creek is the only maintained trail in the McCloud area with the exception of the Pacific Crest Trail. The Squaw Valley Creek starts on Mount Shasta. It follows through the said creek for 5 miles.
