There are a number of ascending and descending moments for this hike, and could last for about 2-4 days (depending on daily mileage).
It follows the outline of the lake’s vent then leads up to the lake itself, a vast meadow where you might spot elks, and a hint of wildlife sightings. Campsites are offered one mile in at Cuddihy Lakes and at Spirit Lake, which rests at the base of a ridge.
Top 3 Adventure Hacks
1) Pack light
Pack only what you need, you’ll be thanking yourself once you get to the climbing part. If you need to bring some gear, place them in an ultralight heavy-duty bag.
2) Stay hydrated
Don’t forget to drink your water as you continue along the hike.
3) Bring a bug repellent
Be prepared for mosquitoes in the early summer.
