Officially known as the Palomar Mountain State Park, the Palomar State Park is located in northern San Diego County where it features the majestic Palomar Mountain, a mountain ridge where the Palomar Observatory and Hale Telescope is also located. The state park serves as a campground for vacationers where it features a dense forest filled with oak and conifer tree species.
