A notable peak in the Marble Mountain Wilderness in Northern California, Kings Castle is a definite sight to see. Kings Castle is settled within the Marble Mountain Wilderness, a designated wilderness area as per the Wilderness Act of 1964. The area is home to 277,000 acres of ancient forest, lakes, rivers, peaks, and alpine meadows. The area is also home to a number of interesting trails, one of which is Kings Castle Trail.
The Kings Castle Trail follows the Paradise Lake Trail to Paradise Lake. On Paradise Lake, there is a faded user trail on the left side and it will take you to the ridge and on top of Kings Castle. The access point of the trail is at Paradise Trailhead. Activity options include hiking and camping at Lovers Camp or at Indian Scotty.
