About the Sunshine Caves Trail

Sunshine Cave is one of the few caves in Lava Beds National Monument that have cave-ins that allows the light to shine inside. There are a few others in the park that have this but what makes Sunshine Cave special is how wide the cave-in is and that the light has helped the plant life to survive inside the cave. It may not be as big as the other caves, but it is amazing.

Top 3 Adventure Hacks

1) Choose The Right Type of Light

It is important to select the correct light. One of the best lights to choose is a headlight since it’s generally hand-free, which means that you don’t need to hold from start to finish.

2) Wear a Head Gear

Make sure to wear a hat that can protect your head from any bumps. There are certain instances wherein bumping your head on a rock happens by accident. Thus, it’s better to have something on that can protect your head.

3) Record Your Experience

Nowadays, travel vlogs are becoming more and more popular. Therefore, if you’re active on social media, recording your journey is the best way to inspire others to visit the amazing place.
